Culture & Identity
Lithuania's Personality
Lithuania is like a retired hall of fame athlete who's
been all but forgotten by the present generation. He was powerful and controlling
over much of Europe, but since the 1700s has quietly stepped
out of the spotlight and few know of, or recognize his past self.
The present-day Lithuania is proud of his past, but
not boastful or obnoxious about it. Even Lithuania's neighbors in
Russia, Latvia, and Poland
make more noise, but Lithuania doesn't seem to mind, in fact he seems to enjoy
the peace that exists, but will at times lash out for attention to remind everyone
he still exists.
Identity
Lithuanians define as such and, based on a long history,
this is defined by their history, language, and to a degree their religion. Past
conflicts with Russia and Poland
have been forgiven as they continue to build upon their past culture.
