This recipe was inspired by a dish of the same name served at Hot Tomato's in Hartford, Connecticut. In their version,
they serve mild sausage and include mushrooms, two things I felt I had to remedy.
This is an Italian inspired dish, although in its present form is more American

Caprese Salad
