Mt. Rainier
August, 2002
We stayed at a place called Paradise Inn, on the mountain itself. The room my brother,
Brent and I shared had two beds and a sink, I immediately called the bed by the
window and when I was in bed, I could see the mountain perfectly. Brent, on the
other hand, had a fantastic view of the sink, which he looked at for hours at a
time.
The hotel didn't have any phones, televisions and only shared bathrooms and
showers, which made one of my other brothers, Tyler verge on the border of a panic
attack, until he made a joke of it... however didn't move on.
Everyday we would hike or take our car to a different part of the mountain, then
at nights we would gather in the hotel's great hall and listen to a park ranger
talk about the mountain, the wildlife, forests, climbing, everything.
Unfortunately, after we left I lost all of my pictures from the trip.
